Jasmine Sandlas faces backlash for pouring water on herself mid-show, lip-syncing (x)
Mumbai: Punjabi sensation Jasmine Sandlas, who recently made waves with her songs in Aditya Dhar's film 'Dhurandhar', is currently doing rounds in the internet for her performance in Ahmedabad concert on April 19. A video clip from the show has surfaced online, prompting some netizens to criticize her. People allege that Jasmine lip-synced during her song 'Shararat' and poured water on herself mid-performance.
In a viral video of singer's Ahmedabad concert on April 19, Jasmine is seen wearing a lehenga-choli and performing her song 'Shararat'. In the middle of the show, the Qulabi Queen suddenly poured water on herself before resuming her performance.
During the performance, she was seen lowering the microphone several times while the song played in the background. This prompted criticism from some audience, who accused her of lip-syncing during the live show rather than performing live.
Jasmine Sandlas, who gave us one of the best track from Dhurandhar 2, “Jaiye Sajna,” is now out here doing full on stage drama.

She’s clearly lip-syncing here and performing like it’s some over the top Bhojpuri event. What is going on with her? 😭 pic.twitter.com/8RgFcMaQwK
Jasmine also performed the hook step of the song 'Shararat' on stage. While the audience at the concert thoroughly enjoyed her performance, many online expressed displeasure over her lip-syncing and her on-stage antics.
One internet user wrote, "What nonsense is this?" Another commented, "Why lip-sync??????" Another user said, "These people don't even sing live at live concerts."
Another user wrote, "What is this? Where is the real performance? The song is playing in the background, so is lip-syncing now considered a performance?
This is a fake performance." Another user wrote, "She's clearly lip-syncing... what kind of performance is this?"
